Admission Prerequisites

Because the RMA certification builds upon existing caregiving skills, applicants must meet the following mandatory prerequisites set by the Virginia Board of Nursing:

Current, unencumbered Virginia CNA or PCA license/certification.
High School Diploma or GED.
Current CPR/BLS certification (AHA or ARC).
Proof of completed TB screening (Negative PPD or Quantiferon Gold).
Passing state criminal background check.
