Admission Prerequisites
Because the RMA certification builds upon existing caregiving skills, applicants must meet the following mandatory prerequisites set by the Virginia Board of Nursing:
- Current, unencumbered Virginia CNA or PCA license/certification.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Current CPR/BLS certification (AHA or ARC).
- Proof of completed TB screening (Negative PPD or Quantiferon Gold).
- Passing state criminal background check.
